Captur ("we", "us", "our") operates the Captur desktop application and the website at captur-app.com. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.

2. Data We Collect

Waitlist sign-up: When you join our waitlist, we collect your email address. This is stored securely in our database (hosted on Supabase) and used solely to send you product updates.

Account data: If you create an account, we collect your name and email address through our authentication provider (Clerk).

Usage analytics: We collect anonymous usage data (feature usage, crash reports) through Firebase Analytics and Sentry to improve the product. No personally identifiable information is included.

Screenshots: Screenshots you take with Captur are stored locally on your device. If you enable Cloud Sync (Pro feature), screenshots are encrypted and stored on Supabase Storage. We do not access or analyze your screenshot content.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To send product updates and launch notifications (waitlist)
  • To provide and maintain the Captur service
  • To sync your data across devices (if you opt in to Cloud Sync)
  • To improve the product based on anonymous usage patterns
  • To communicate with you about your account or support requests

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase — Database and file storage
  • Clerk — Authentication
  • LemonSqueezy — Payment processing
  • Firebase Analytics — Anonymous usage analytics
  • Sentry — Error monitoring

Each service has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

5. Data Retention

Waitlist emails are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Account data is retained while your account is active. You can request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us.

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time
  • Export your data in a portable format

7. Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies for authentication and theme preferences. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
